Successful Case of O1: Alien Temporary Workers with Extraordinary Ability

A. Entertainment Group:

Movie Production Group: Our office successfully applied O-1/O-2 visas for a group of Chinese television production staff that came to US to complete the photography of a television movie series. We prepared substantial evidence to prove the extraordinary ability of the starring actor in the television series, including some acting contracts as the star male actor in a television series and movies, numerous newspapers and magazines that published articles regarding Beneficiary’s extraordinary performance. We obtained a "No Objection" consultation letter from the Screen Actors Guild.

O2 visa is for the supporting personnel of a production group to come with the leading actor or actress. For this television production group, we successfully applied O2 visas for three supporting actors/actress. The entire group received O1&O2 visas.

Television Anchor: (S-606A) Our law firm successfully applied O-1visas for a television program anchor/host of Chinese bilingual television programs. Petitioner is a media corporation specialized in production of Chinese and bilingual (Chinese/English) television programs for the Chinese communities in Los Angles County. Beneficiary is a Chinese/English television host and journalist in Australia.  

Stage Designer: (S-606B) We successfully applied O-1visas for a stage designer/manager with a Television company. We submitted the following documents to CIS: Petitioner’s Articles of Incorporation, Petitioner’s business plan and Petitioner’s fictitious name statements, agreement to produce a television series, etc; Beneficiary’s 9 national awards in her filed of expertise, 6 memberships, 7 media reports, etc..

B. Scientists:

We successfully helped a Research Scientist in the filed of laser processing,treatment of materials surface for aircraft anticorrosion, and advanced technology in aircraft and aerospace industries change status from J-1 to O-1. He had over 50 journal papers, experience as an Expert Reviewer for one journal, 3 memberships, 8 conference presentations and 4 awards received in China.

We office successfully helped Dr. Applicant changed status from J-1 to O-1. He is a research scientist in the filed of Applied Analytical Chemistry with specialty in the cutting-edge research and development of microcolumn-based separation methods including capillary electrophoresis and capillary electrochromatorgraphy. He had 2 international awards, 3 national award and 7 regional award, 28 published journal papers, 10 conference presentations, experience as an Expert Reviewer for one journal, 7 memberships and 1 patent.
